Q: What do I need to do before the cleaning crew arrives?

To ensure an efficient and high-quality cleaning process, we ask that you take the following steps:

  • Clear the Carpeted Areas: Please pick up all small items from the floor, including toys, clothing, wastebaskets, cables, and small area rugs. The floor should be completely clear of any loose objects.

  • Vacuum Thoroughly: Vacuum the entire area being cleaned. This removes dry soil, pet hair, and debris that can impede our deep steam-cleaning process and help achieve the best possible results.

  • Clear the Driveway/Parking Area: Ensure your driveway or a parking spot directly in front of your home is clear for our van. We need easy access to the house, as our equipment requires hoses to be run from the van into your home.

Q: Will your technicians move my furniture?

  • No, we do not move furniture. Our service is focused exclusively on cleaning the exposed carpet. We are not insured for moving large, heavy, or delicate items. This includes beds, dressers, entertainment centers, electronics, and breakables. If you want the carpet underneath these items cleaned, please move them before we arrive. We can clean around the perimeter of any item you leave in place. Note that placing any moved items back on damp carpet can cause damage to furniture and/or carpet.

Q: How should I prepare my pets for the cleaning visit?

  • Please ensure all pets are secured in a safe, quiet area (like a crate, bedroom, or garage) before the technicians enter your home. We use heavy equipment and will have an open door while running hoses, so securing your pets is essential for their safety and the efficiency of our service.

The Cleaning Process


Q: What cleaning method do you use?

  • We use the Hot Water Extraction (HWE) method, often referred to as “steam cleaning.” This process involves injecting hot water and an effective cleaning solution deep into the carpet fibers and immediately extracting the solution, along with dirt and contaminants, using a powerful vacuum. This is the method recommended by most major carpet manufacturers.

Q: How long will it take for my carpets to dry?

  • Dry times vary based on humidity, airflow, and the carpet thickness, but typically range from 4 to 8 hours. You can accelerate the drying process by turning on fans, using air conditioning or heat, and opening windows slightly.

Q: Can I walk on the carpet immediately after cleaning?

  • Yes, you can walk on the carpet, but we recommend wearing clean socks or shoe coverings to avoid tracking dirt back onto the damp fibers. Please be cautious when stepping from damp carpet onto hard surfaces, as your feet may be slick.

Q: Are there any hidden fees or extra charges?

Our quotes include all standard cleaning procedures. Extra charges may apply for specialized services, which will always be discussed and approved by you beforehand. These may include:

  • Excessive stain removal (red wine, ink, pet stains).
  • Carpet protection application (Scotchgard or similar).
  • Deodorizer treatments.

Q: Do you offer any stain removal guarantees?

While we use professional-grade products designed to remove most common household spots and general soil, we cannot guarantee the removal of all stains. Permanent stains (those that have chemically altered the carpet fiber, such as bleach, old pet urine, or ink) may not be reversible. We will always do our best to treat these areas.
